Family Council

The Villa also has a Family Council.

This council, which is an autonomous family-led group, meets monthly and is assisted as required by the Social Worker.

The purpose of the Family Council is to:

  • Allow families to give each other ongoing mutual support and encouragement;
  • Help families learn about the Villa’s operations, policies and rules;
  • Offer families a chance to express their collective concerns; and,
  • Allow families and administration to form a positive partnership aimed at improving resident care.

The executive of the Family Council is elected annually by Council participants. Minutes from the most recent meeting are posted publicly in the Town Square and Open Forums are held when necessary to solicit further input from families.

Notes: Family members with specific individual concerns should speak to Villa staff and/or administration.

For more information about Family Council, please contact the on-site Social Worker.
