The Resident Councils of both Villa St. Gabriel Villa and St. Joseph’s Villa played host to Melissa McVie, Education and Home Support Facilitator from the Ontario Association of Resident Councils the first week of October.
Ms. McVie was on tour of Northern Ontario Long-term care facilities to provide resources and support to the resident leaders and councils. During her separate visits, the respective councils were able to share some of the unique work taking place at each Villa. Ms. McVie was impressed by the strong leadership of each council and encouraged the councils to continue to reach out to OARC for support whenever needed. The Resident Councils of both St. Joseph’s Villa and Villa St. Gabriel were more than pleased to receive and entertain the special guest and the warm support Ms. McVie brought forth from OARC.
