Media Release – June 2018
The St. Joseph’s Health Centre Board of Directors and the St. Joseph’s Foundation Board of Directors chose to honour and recognize Jeanne Warwick-Conroy for her 15+ years of service with the Foundation as she steps down as the Foundation Chair and Gala Co-Chair after her many years with the organization.
With fierce determination and a keen leadership style, Ms. Warwick-Conroy has been integral in
developing and seeing to fruition numerous fundraising activities for St. Joseph’s Villa, St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre and Villa St. Gabriel Villa such as the Foundation’s annual gala. Since 2004, the Foundation has raised nearly $1 Million which has been placed towards the purchase of capital equipment and furniture. Our residents, patients, staff and volunteers have benefited from sit-to-stand lifts, Arjo therapeutic tubs, a Special Needs bus and the Healing Gardens on the grounds of St. Joseph’s Villa, St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre and Villa St. Gabriel Villa, to name but a few.
As a result of Jeanne’s “retirement”, the SJCCC Healing Garden has been re-named the The Jeanne Warwick-Conroy Healing Garden in recognition of her fundraising efforts. In fact, the funds used to build and create the healing garden were as a direct result of Jeanne’s effort. Thank you Jeanne Warwick-Conroy for Caring… beyond the moment!
