Vending Machines

VSGV Cafe View 2The St. Joseph’s Health Centre Auxiliary is non-profit with the exclusive purpose of raising funds for projects that benefit our residents and patients. The St. Joseph’s Auxiliary oversees the vending machine funds.

Gardens

Healing-Garden-2The Gardens at Villa St. Gabriel Villa has ample gardening space.

These garden spaces are filled with native trees and shrubs and perennials, medicinal plants and herbs, fruit bearing trees, tasty vegetables, colourful annuals and bulbs and other interesting vegetation. The garden beds have allotted space where residents can plant and tend to annuals, vegetables, herbs and bulbs.

Chapel

VSGV Chapel View 1Villa St. Gabriel Villa has a chapel.  The Chapel is located on the main floor next to the Reception office. Everyone is welcome to attend services or to use the chapel for private prayer and reflection.  Roman Catholic liturgies and inter-denominational worship services are scheduled on a regular basis.

The Chapel is available to everyone (residents, families, staff and volunteers) twenty-four hours a day for quiet reflection and prayer.   Seasonal multi-faith worship services are held throughout the year.  They include the annual Service of Remembrance and our facility-specific anniversary events.

Celebration of the Eucharist (Roman Catholic) is conducted on a regular basis at a time appropriate for residents, and staff.

Hairdressing Salon

VSGV Hair Salon (1)A hairstylist is available to our residents. Hairdressing services are available every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm at Villa St. Gabriel Villa at the hair salon located on the main floor.

Hairdressing services are provided by appointment as requested by either the Resident or substitute decision-maker. Hairdressing is an unfunded service and the service is invoiced monthly by the service provider.

Please fill out a referral for residents who would like to have hair care and forward it to the Hair Salon or Call 705-590-2580 ext. 3330.
