On March 19, 2019, also known as the Feast of St. Joseph’s Day, St. Joseph’s Health Centre and its affiliate organizations, St. Joseph’s Villa, St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre and Villa St. Gabriel Villa launched its new strategic Directions for 2019-2024.
“As proud as we are of the past, we’re even more excited about what’s ahead for St. Joseph’s Health Centre. We have a new vision for the next 5 years – Making Lives Matter…compassionate care, innovation and discovery. In order to make lives matter, we will build on the strong tradition of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie – which in essence means we have big shoes to fill.” stated Jo-Anne Palkovits, President and CEO / Administrator.
At St. Joseph’s Health Centre, we see ourselves, as two long-term care homes and a hospital that show leadership in finding fresh solutions to improve care; one that embraces our diverse community, respecting and responding to their needs. We are a hospital that partners effectively with other health care and community organizations so that patients can receive support, when, where and how they need it. We are two long-term care homes that foster quality care, ensuring we provide the best possible care experiences that meet the unique needs of each and every one of our residents. And, we are a place where everyone – our staff, doctors, students and volunteers – are focused on creating positive changes to meet the evolving needs of not only our patients and residents but also of our community.
