Max Massimiliano, Regency Bakery and Anthony Rocca, Doyle Dodge present a cheque in the amount of $2,200 to Jo-Anne Palkovits, Administrator. Funds will be placed towards the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Sudbury’s Caring Beyond Capital Campaign for St. Joseph’s Villa.

Background:

In honour of the Feast of St. Joseph, which was celebrated on March 19, 2021, Regency Bakery in partnership with Doyle Dodge donated $1.00 from every Zeppole sold between March 13 to 20, 2021 to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Sudbury.

The Feast of St. Joseph is observed by Christians in commemoration of Saint Joseph, husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and legal father of Jesus Christ. Taking place during the period of Lent, a time of fasting, the holiday is traditionally a meatless feast in Europe.

Zeppoles are little fried dough balls that are coated in powdered sugar and filled with vanilla custard and amarena cherries – an Italian delight!

“We are grateful to Regency Bakery and to Doyle Dodge, who are celebrating their 100th year in Business in 2021, for this generous donation” stated Jo-Anne Palkovits, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
