Media Release:  December 2, 2021

85 year-old Jacqueline Lynch

Celebrating a milestone!  On December 2, 2021, 85 year-old Jacqueline Lynch had the honour of being the 500th patient discharged from St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre’s Clarion site.  After working closely with the rehab team at the Clarion for the past 8 weeks, Jacqueline is returning to her home in the community.  Jacqueline says she is looking forward to her own bed, the peace of her own home, but most of all, her son’s cooking!

Congratulations Jacqueline!

St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre of Sudbury (SJCCC) is the only rehabilitative care hospital in the North East. On April 6, 2020, SJCCC expanded its operation to include 60 additional beds in an alternate health facility located at the Clarion hotel. These beds are serving a rehabilitation population in order to free up acute care beds at HSN for a potential surge of COVID-19 patients.
SJCCC, including the 60 beds at the Clarion site, provides specialized care and services to adults requiring slow paced rehabilitative care to maximize their function. The goal is to work with these patients to restore function and transition them back to independent living in the community.
