Each year during the month of April, our organizations celebrate volunteers who have been an integral part of important human connections with residents, patients, staff, and families throughout the year. Thank you to all those staff, families, administration and volunteers who participated in the past 12 months in this year’s virtual video celebration – photo slideshow in honour of our volunteers in action at St. Joseph’s Villa and SJCCC South Bay Road and Clarion Sites!

The National Volunteer week theme for 2022, Volunteering Is Empathy In Action, affirms the strong connection between volunteerism and empathy. This profoundly human connection is at the heart of healthier individuals and stronger communities. Thank you to our volunteers for being present, giving of opportunities and by doing so, making an incredible difference in other’s lives. Volunteering can help us develop empathy; viewing the world through the eyes of another, connect people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, expand our views and build our capacity to work collectively contributing to a vibrant, inclusive community.
During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate your actions, your understanding, and your sincere concern for the world around you- in which you chose to participate in making a vibrant, safe, compassionate and inclusive space.
Please celebrate by thanking a volunteer at any time of year with us!
