Congratulations Marilyn Savard Winner of the $500 Early Bird Draw from the St. Joseph’s 50/50 Draw

St. Joseph’s of Sudbury is pleased to announce its December Early Bird Winner of its 50/50 Draw. The winner is Marilyn Savard of Timmins, Ontario who won $500. Ms. Savard’s friend, Samantha Paquette from Sudbury was kind enough to pick up the cheque for Marilyn.
St. Joseph’s 50/50 Draw is raising funds to improve the safety and comfort of our residents and patients.

Press Release – 50.50 Fifth Winner – Carole Vachon

The Giving Tree

This is a Spiritual and Religious Care Dept. initiative on behalf of SJHC, encouraging anyone involved with the organization to give to our community at this time of year.

This year we will be able to give in two different ways:

1. The Giving Tree will be in the Town Square/Lobby as of Thursday November 25th and will once again, be prepared with tags that you may take to purchase the chosen item(s) and return to the boxes under the tree. The Deadline to bring in your item is Thursday, December 16th at noon, at which time we will deliver to the two charities. This deadline will give the charities plenty of time to sort and give to the appropriate individuals and families before Christmas.

2. This Virtual Giving Tree on our website. You will be able to give a financial donation – designating which site you want the donation to go to: SJV, CCC or VSGV. The money gathered at each site will then be given to one of our designees to assist them in providing Christmas for those in need. The money gathered for each organization will go to the designees as described below.

Mr. Martyn has a personal connection with St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (SJCCC) as his wife was a patient in 2010. He was pleased to win and stated that “supporting the SJCCC is a great cause for our community.”
