April 24, 2017 – This past year St. Joseph’s Health Centre established a corporate bursary fund to support education for employees interested in pursuing their own continuing education opportunities. The bursary is funded through proceeds from a portion of the monthly staff 50/50 draw.
St. Joseph’s Health Centre awards education bursaries to reimburse up to 100% of education costs, up to a maximum of $1,000 per year, incurred by regular full-time or regular part-time employees who choose to pursue:
- Non-credit development opportunities including conferences, workshops and seminars, or
- Credit courses or multi-course programs of an academic, professional or business nature.
This year’s recipients are:
Dominique Dupuis – employee at St. Joseph’s Villa
Kapila Abeyratne – employee at St. Joseph’s Villa
Kari Gervais – employee at St. Joseph’s Health Centre
